Goldfish Swim School was my business. Goldfish Swim School has swim lessons for kids.
Challenges
We were presented with the challenge of marketing and getting more people to know about Goldfish Swim School. I was attracted to this challenge because I had seem Goldfish Swim School, but didn't quite know what it was all about.

Project Timeline
Erikka, Tyler, and I worked with Goldfish Swim School on the advertising aspect of their business. We worked with Pam, who runs the Fishers campus, and came up with a few solutions. Our first proposal was to bring a dunk tank to a basketball game, and have people who have filled out an application, get to dunk an employee. This proposal fell through because of the late notice, so we had to come up with another solution. Our final proposal was a swim night. We worked with Durban Elementary to have a two hour swim night with all of the profits going back to the school. With this proposal, Goldfish Swim School would get advertised, and maybe get some people to apply for swim lessons.
Contribution
I contributed to the ideas and the project as a whole. We all came together with ideas and brought the project together.
Takeaways
I learned a lot from this experience. I took away a better understanding of business, and how marketing and advertising of a company works. We were lucky enough to run into only a few challenges. One challenge was our dunk tank idea that fell through, which is explained later on. Another challenge was coordinating our final proposal with Durbin Elementary. We overcame this challenge by talking with the principal, and getting a PTO meeting set up.
If I were to do this project again, I would definitely dig into the project deeper as a whole. I would have spent more time on it to fully experience it.
